Confirm surface + anchors for the exact unit—not a generic chart
- Grass still needs ground review (roots, slope, soft spots, underground utilities awareness); pavement and indoor floors need an approved anchoring plan for that unit.
- Tell Wow the surface type, overhead clearance, gate width, and exact setup spot before reserving equipment for that location.

Grass: check the ground as well as the available space
A lawn may look large enough while hiding a setup problem. Tell the team about slopes, recent heavy rain, soft patches, roots, exposed rocks, sprinkler lines, septic areas, and known underground utilities. A clear photo helps explain the site, but does not replace the final setup assessment.
Do not assume that stakes can go anywhere in the grass. The ground, permitted anchoring locations, and the selected unit's instructions all affect the plan. Ask the property owner about buried systems and restrictions before delivery, and keep the proposed setup area accessible for review.
Measure the full operating area with the space and delivery-route guide before comparing bounce-house rental options.
Concrete and asphalt: an approved anchoring plan comes first
A driveway or paved courtyard is not automatically an approved inflatable location. Explain the surface, slope, dimensions, traffic exposure, and nearby obstacles. The team needs to determine whether the selected unit can be installed there and what manufacturer-approved anchoring and surface protection it requires.
CPSC's commercial guidance says ballast or sandbags must be permitted by the manufacturer and meet the specified weight. A few household weights, a parked car, or an improvised tie-off are not a substitute. Do not supply or change an anchoring arrangement on your own.
Keep vehicle movement separate from the attraction, rider line, and exit. A site that requires cars to pass through the operating area needs a different layout or location before guests arrive.
Artificial turf, gravel, and other surfaces need separate review
Describe the actual material, not just the word yard. Artificial turf may have a surface-protection or no-staking rule. Gravel, rough ground, and other uneven surfaces may affect whether the equipment can be installed at all. Send those details before choosing an item for that location.
Ask the venue which anchoring methods it permits. Permission from the venue and suitability for the inflatable are separate checks; both must work for the final setup. If the site cannot support the approved method, choose another location or activity with the team.
For public land, work through the park rental permission checklist as well.
Indoors: allow for height, access, anchors, and exits
A gym or hall removes some outdoor exposure, but it does not remove setup requirements. CPSC's commercial guidance calls for anchoring according to the manufacturer's instructions indoors as well as outdoors. Ask about the floor, approved anchoring, and any protective materials before booking.
Measure usable ceiling clearance below lights, beams, fans, and other fixtures. Also confirm the loading door, hallway turns, setup window, blower location, power supply, queues, and emergency exits. The advertised inflatable dimensions do not describe every inch of the operating area.
Compare dry slides only after checking clearance, and prepare the equipment's power requirements.
Have these surface details ready before booking
Use this short checklist when discussing the event with Wow. Resolve a surface restriction before building the rest of the party around one inflatable.
- Exact address, Georgia county, event date, and venue contact.
- Surface material, usable measurements, slope, and current ground condition.
- Photos of the setup area and the route from unloading to installation.
- Known buried systems and venue restrictions on stakes, ballast, or floor protection.
- Power location, overhead obstacles, rider entrance and exit, and adult supervision space.
Outdoor setups also need the wind and weather plan. Keep the agreed anchors and equipment in place throughout the event.
Apply the surface decision to rental choices in Macon or Forsyth and keep the delivery and setup checklist with the approved site plan.
Setup guidance and next steps
Use this planning checklist with the selected unit's manufacturer instructions and the venue's written requirements. Wow must confirm whether the actual site and setup are suitable.
